About Hijama Calgary & TCM Clinic
Hijama Calgary & TCM Clinic was founded on a simple but often overlooked principle: lasting health begins from within. When the body is in balance, it has an inherent capacity to heal, adapt, and maintain vitality. Our role is to support that process with informed, purposeful care. Our clinical approach is grounded in prevention, balance, and individualized treatment. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we work to understand the underlying patterns contributing to imbalance. By addressing the root cause, we aim not only to relieve discomfort but also to support long-term health and resilience.
We integrate the wisdom of Prophetic Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, two comprehensive medical systems with deep historical foundations. Together, they offer a holistic framework that considers the physical body, internal physiology, lifestyle, and overall well-being. This allows us to design care plans that are both clinically thoughtful and personally relevant.
Education is a core part of our practice. We believe patients should understand their health, not feel dependent on treatment alone. Through guidance on nutrition, lifestyle habits, and self-care, we empower individuals to take an active role in maintaining balance and preventing future illness. Every person we see is treated as an individual, not a diagnosis.
Whether you are seeking relief from pain, managing a chronic condition, or working toward greater energy and longevity, our focus remains the same: precise, respectful care that supports the body’s natural ability to heal.
We invite you to learn more about our services and approach, and to explore how integrative medicine can support your health in a meaningful and sustainable way.
Our Services
Hijama-Wet Cupping Therapy
Hijama is a therapeutic practice with deep roots in Prophetic Medicine and has been used for centuries to support circulation, detoxification, and overall balance. By applying controlled suction and superficial skin release, Hijama helps reduce stagnation, relieve musculoskeletal tension, and support the body’s natural healing processes.
Hijama is often used for pain conditions, fatigue, inflammatory states, headaches, and general wellness, but it is always applied based on individual assessment rather than as a one-size-fits-all treatment
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a core modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine that works by regulating the flow of Qi and blood throughout the body. Using fine, sterile needles placed at specific points, acupuncture helps restore balance within the nervous system, improve circulation, and support internal organ function.
It is commonly used for pain management, stress, digestive concerns, hormonal regulation, sleep issues, and chronic conditions. Treatments are tailored to the individual’s pattern of imbalance, not simply the presenting symptom.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine is a sophisticated system that uses carefully selected formulas to address internal imbalances. Rather than relying on single herbs, formulas are combined and adjusted to work synergistically, supporting the body while minimizing unwanted effects.
Herbal medicine may be used to support digestion, immunity, energy levels, hormonal balance, mental clarity, and recovery from chronic illness. All formulas are prescribed based on a full clinical assessment and adjusted as the condition evolves.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a complete medical system that includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary guidance, and lifestyle recommendations. TCM focuses on identifying patterns of disharmony within the body and correcting them before they develop into more serious disease.
Through detailed assessment and ongoing care, TCM aims to restore balance, strengthen the body’s foundational systems, and support long-term health rather than short-term relief alone.
