Is wet cupping covered under extended health coverage plans?

Wet cupping is covered under EHC only if you have Acupuncture coverage. Acupuncture, Wet cupping, Guasha, Tuina all under Acupuncture scope of practice.

Is wet Cupping painful?

Wet cupping is not painful when performed by an experienced practitioner.

Are there preparations prior to Wet Cupping?

Yes, avoid physical exhaustion and be sure to eat something small prior to your appointment.

Can I book multiple Wet cupping Appointments at once?

That would not be recommended. Your therapist will share with you a treatment plan during your first visit.

How often should I come for wet Cupping?

It’s a case by case and it varies from once a week, once a month, once every three months, once every three months and a week, once a year and in between. Everyone is different.

How many cups do you use?

As few as possible. The notion that more cups induce a potent or longer lasting therapeutic affect is not correct. The number of cups used in a session should be determined by the therapist based on the individual needs. Your therapist will also take into consideration medical history and any potential contraindications. The goal of cupping therapy is to provide a safe and effective treatment that is tailored to your specific needs.

What are Sunnah Points?

One treatment does not fit everyone. Every case is different. Your body will show the points/zones to where the cups are placed, similar to Acupuncture.
